Hi All,
My name is Beth and I live with my daughter, Bre, on a small hobby farm in Nenana. I have a small pack of dogs - Romble, 15 year old Sheltie; Train, 2 1/2 year old black male Great Dane; Cassie, 2 (??) year old female Heeler/Shepherd mix; Monty, 1 year old male Cairn Terrier; Diesel, 9 month old male Maremma Sheepdog; and Victoria's Secret; 7 month old female harlequin Great Dane. We have a small flock of goats as well as a flock of varied poultry. We also raise and show several breeds of rabbits and cavies (guinea pigs). I am studying homeopathic/holistic medicine for animals and am pursuing a degree as a Veterinary Technician. I am also researching animal behaviors and would like to move into the animal behaviorist career fields. I recently started a local general membership 4-H club and the kids have a wide variety of projects from nutrition to animals to safety to sewing and gardening. I am very excited because two of my 4-Hers were accepted into the 4-H Service Dog program and have received their pups and are starting their training. I feed my dogs a natural diet consisting of high quality commercial natural kibble and raw. I look forward to sharing information with other animal lovers in Alaska and learning all I can about my fur babies. I am looking into showing my harlequin Dane and would appreciate any advice other exhibitors could provide.
