I am having a hard time getting my baby dane Moose to go potty out side? He just cries and shivers. Any ideas?

Do you take him out or do you just put him outside? I have two danes. When it's cold (-20 or colder) they both wear coats and boots otherwise I can't
get my male to go outside at all. I take my "little" girl out on a leash to do her business and praise, praise, praise her with "good
potty" "good girl" "that was a good potty outside" etc. I've found that they are much happier, in the begininng at least, to have
you out there encouraging them. Danes are very smart and very sensitive.
